How to Download Digital Pan Card (e-PAN) Online

Pan Card is an important document that has many uses, from income tax filling to KYC documentation. An Indian citizen can own only 1 PAN card which can be kept in physical or digital format.

e-PAN can be used as a backup for your physical PAN card which can be used as a smart card if you want it to re-print.

If you have applied for a new PAN card or made a correction, you can download the PAN card soft copy (e-PAN card) through the NSDL portal with your Acknowledgement number.

There are two conditions to download Digital PAN Card Copy,

1. You can Download e-PAN Free if you have Applied for New PAN Card Or/ And Changes Or Correction in PAN Data in the last 30 days.

2. If your PAN card is 30 days older then you have to pay charges of Rs.8.26/- (inclusive of taxes).

This facility is only available for whose latest PAN application processed through NSDL e-Governance or e-filing portal of Income Tax Department.

1. Download e-PAN If you Freshly Applied for New PAN Card or Made a Correction

1. Visit the NSDL portal to download the e-PAN
2. Enter the acknowledgement number which you have received.
3. Click on Generate OTP
4. Enter the OTP you have received on your mobile and click on validate
5. Click on the download PDF option to download the e-PAN instantly

2. Download e-PAN after 30 days of issuing

1. Visit the NSDL portal to download the e-PAN
2. Enter PAN Number, Aaadhar Number and Birthdate and Click Submit
3. Now Select Mobile Number and Generate OTP
4. Enter OTP and Validate
5. On Next Page you will show payment amount of Rs. 8.26 Click Pay Confirm
6. Pay using any preferred method and complete payment
7. After Payment you will be redirected to NSDL Portal again
8. Click Continue
9. Click Generate and Print Payment Receipt to Download Payment Receipt PDF
10. On Next Page You will receieve accknowledgement number keep it on notepad (you will also receive it on mobile through sms)
11. Now Visit the NSDL portal to download the e-PAN
12. Enter the acknowledgement number which you have received.
13. Click on Generate OTP
14. Enter the OTP you have received on your mobile and click on validate
15. Click on the download PDF option to download the e-PAN instantly
